Bronze and Silver for the End!

A day before the end of the XXII OWG in Sochi, Polish speed skaters won two medals in team competitions. Women won silver while men got bronze.

Kamil Stoch Sweeps Second Gold!

Polish ski jumper Kamil Stoch became an Olympic champion on the large hill during the XXII OWG in Sochi. It is his second gold medal; earlier he also triumphed in the normal hill event.

Zbigniew Bródka an Olympic Champion!

Polish speed-skater Zbigniew Bródka became an Olympic champion in men's 1500-meter run. Jan Szymański was 15th and Konrad Niedźwiedzki 20th.

Justyna Kowalczyk an Olympic Champion!

Polish ski runner Justyna Kowalczyk became the Olympic champion winning the women's 10km classical cross-country race. The Pole knocked her competitors out, defeating the next competitor crossing the finish line by over 18 seconds.

Kamil Stoch an Olympic Champion!

Polish ski jumper Kamil Stoch won a gold medal on the normal hill during the XXII OWG in Sochi. Maciej Kot was 7th, while Jan Ziobro 13th and Dawid Kubacki 31st.

Subsequent Olympic Nominations in Poland

On Sunday in the afternoon (2 February) another group of Polish athletes received official nominations to Team Poland for the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi 2014. These were: Crosscountry skiers, biathletes, bobsledders, alpine skiers and a representative of the Nordic Combined.
