LUX MED Joins the Olympic Family
On Friday 11 July, at the Olympic Center, Presidents of the POC, Andrzej Kraśnicki, and the LUX MED Group, Anna Rulkiewicz, officially signed the agreement on co-operation between the two institutions. The agreement provides that LUX MED has become the Main Medical Partner of the Polish Olympic Committee.
Taking the floor, Andrzej Kraśnicki said: "Thanks to an agreement with such a credible and prestigious medical service provider, our top competitors, especially Olympians and candidates for Olympians, will receive medical care on the highest level". The President also emphasized: "Contemporary sport, characterized by strenuous training regimens, requires first-class medical support on each stage of the training process. Cooperation with the LUX MED Group, which employs a team of highly skilled specialists, will certainly enable us to provide professional health care to a group of our best athletes. Of course, we would like this to involve primarily prevention and specialized medical diagnostics and, to a lesser degree, treatment of injuries. Yet, in sport, such injuries have the right to occur".
In response, Anna Rulkiewicz stated that the fact of acquiring the title of POC Main Medical Partner is, on the one hand, an honor for LUX MED Group and on the other, indeed, a great commitment to offer - not only to people of sport - medical services on the highest, "Olympic" level. "We are the leader on the medical market and it is important to us that we can accompany the best ones on their way to Olympic success," she said.
Participants of the ceremony also included: Dr. Andrzej Mądrala, Vice-president of the Employers of Poland Confederation and Vice-president of the Polish Private Hospital Association, Sabrina Rettondini, visiting Poland on behalf of the Secretariat of the European Olympic Committees (EOC), numerous representatives of the POC management, including the first Vice-president and IOC Member Irena Szewińska.
LUX MED Group is the largest medical chain in Poland with 1.4 million patients. It runs 161 healthcare centers throughout the country, including 5 hospitals operating under the following brands: LUX MED, Carolina Medical Center, Endoterapia and MegaMed.
