International Poster Competition - extended date

The Polish Olympic Committee kindly informs that due to the huge interest flowing from around the world, the deadline for submitting applications to the International Poster Competition is extended until September 9 this year.

World Junior Championship in modern pentathlon Drzonków 2019

On the 14th of July Modern Pentathlon World Junior Championship in Zielona Góra/Drzonków
came to an end. The Polish representation won two medals in the event. Oskar Paradowski
together with Łukasz Gutkowski won the silver disc in men’s relay, while Gutkowski won also a
bronze individually.

Minsk 2019: 14 medals for Poland

On the last day of the II European Games in Minsk the Polish delegation improved its standing in the medal table by winning two bronze discs, one of them thanks to Arkadiusz Kułynycz, a classic style wrestler, second after Daniel Staniszewski’s performance in the omnium category of track cycling.

The International Poster Competition in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the POC

The Polish Olympic Committee, the Association of Graphic Designers and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw have just announced the launching of the entry submissions to the International Poster Competition. The event is organised as part of the celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Polish Olympic Committee and refers to the rich traditions of Polish sport poster.

"The Flame of Peace" at the Olympic Centre in Warsaw

On Saturday, 11th of May the “Flame of Peace Relay for the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019 organized by MEGOC reached Warsaw. The Flame was lit in Rome on 3rd of May at the Ceremony in the Ara Pacis to mark 50 days until the Opening ceremony in the capital city of Belarus. The flame travels by car around the Old Continent accompanied by the motorcade of Belarusian bikers from Minsk.

Poland Says Farewell to Olympics Heroine Irena Szewinska

Olympic champion and IOC member Irena Szewinska is hailed by leaders of Poland, the IOC and the IAAF for her life in sport. Szewinska died June 30 in Warsaw after treatment for cancer. She turned 72 in May.
